I'm running for Travelers Rest City Council!
My name is Catherine James and I am running for Travelers Rest City Council in the November 7, 2023 election. For nearly 19 years my family has lived in Travelers Rest, SC. My daughter was born and raised here, and my parents now live here, too. As a native Greenvillian and Furman graduate, I knew how special Travelers Rest was well before my husband and I chose to relocate here so long ago. Over the years I have watched our tranquil little town blossom into the vibrant, award-winning destination city it is now. I am eager to help Travelers Rest continue this positive momentum with careful planning and a common-sense approach to managing growth. I believe we can preserve our small-town character, sense of community, and natural beauty, while also sustaining a prosperous economy that serves the needs of our city now and well into the future.
